[Wadabo_updates] The Twins teach this weekend, Jan 4th - 6th

African Dance Workshops with The Twins,
Assane & Ousseynou Kouyate

Friday, January 4th, Djembe 7:30-9:00pm @ YWCA
Saturday, January 5th, Koutiro 4:30-6pm &
Sunday, January 6th, Sabar 1:30-3:00pm @ Dance Complex


The Twins will be in Boston this weekend to teach Pape N'Diaye's & Fatou N'Diaye's classes.
All classes are $15 each, all with live drumming.


Born in Mali to a griot family, Assane and Ousseynou Kouyate grew up in Dakar,
Senegal and are former members of the National Ballet of Senegal. Affectionately
called "The Twins", these dynamic master dancers moved to the states in 1997
and currently teach regular classes in the San Francisco Bay area. Also singers,
they perform regularly with thier music band, Djialy Kunda Kouyate. A special thank you
to both Pape and Fatou for generously donating their classes for this special
engagement.

The YWCA is located at 7 Temple Street in Central Square, Cambridge.
The Dance Complex is located at 536 Mass. Ave., Central Sq., Cambridge
Both studios are at the Central Square stop on the Red Line.
