Sister event to the monthly Uhuru Afrika, Uhuru Afrika's JUMP features Adam Gibbons & Max Pela, with Malian Master Percussionist Sidy Maiga, and a live group every month. Local and global artists celebrate alongside community and dance together in harmony. Party with a purpose! Every Jump donates a percentage of revenue to NextAid. This month we are honored to welcome to the party special guest Ten Tumbao.

Ten Tumbao is a 7-piece funky and soulful Afro-Latin-Caribbean band that mixes spicy rhythms with vocal harmonies, captivating melodies, and a touch of jazz to create ear-catching, body-moving, heart-opening music! The group plays authentic son and salsa classics as well as hot originals.

"Tumbao" is a Cuban word meaning rhythm, flavor, style and flair. "Ten Tumbao" means "HaveTumbao," which is exactly what they invite you to do every time they play!

Band members hail from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, Boston, NYC - and sessions are known to frequently include guest stars of international acclaim.
