[Wadabo_updates] Reminder- Jean Appolon Classes CANCELED due to workshops...

Dear African Dance & Drum Community,
A reminder that due to the Festival Dances of Haiti Workshops this weekend
Jean Appolon's regular classes are canceled:
NO Class 4/28 - Haitian Dance 1:30-3pm @ DC
NO Class 4/29 - Modern Technique 11am-12:30pm @ DC
Both classes will resume as usual next weekend May 5 & 6

In the Spirit of Rara! Festival Dances of Haiti
4th Semi-Annual Weekend Workshop with Jean Appolon
A fundraising event for the youth of Haiti.

Come and celebrate the season of Rara in Haitian style! Each workshop includes: discussion / Q&A session and reading materials about featured dances, Rara traditions, and Haitian culture. Dance instruction features: Horton/Dunham warm up, Haitian dance technique, and original choreography. Geared towards advanced beginner to intermediate level dancers, all are welcome. Live accompaniment by Haitian drum masters: JouJou, Marceil, TiCharles, and other talented artists!

A portion of the proceeds from this will go directly to dance programs for disadvantaged youth in Haiti .
