1 - African Dance and Music Performances

TONIGHT - An Evening of African Dance & Drum Performances
African Evening at the YWCA - Featuring Rhythms from West Africa and Brazil, with:
Moussa Traore , performing with his drum students and his band Timinandi
Sory Diabate, Aly Diabate and Pape N'Diaye
Capoeira group Mestre Chuvisco

Sunday, October 1st - PanAfrican Concert of Music & Dance
From Africa to the caribbean, immerse yourself in an exciting explosion of
rhythms, styles and inspiriations with drummers, singers and dancers
from Africa, and the Americas and the Caribbean.

Sunday, October 1st at 6:00pm
At MIT Kresge Auditorium

2 - Dance and Drum Workshops

Marie Basse - Dance classes (Sabar & Djembe)

Master Dancer and Teahcer Exraordinaire, Marie Basse Wiles
Will teach two master classes in Sengalese Dance:

Saturday, September 30th, 4:30-6:00pm, $12
(Fatou N'Diaye's class)
Master Class in Sengalese Sabar Dance

Sunday, October 1st, 1:30-3:00pm, $12
Master Class in Senegalese Djembe Dance

Both classes are open to all levels and are accomapanied by live drumming.

4 - Aly Diabate - Dundun workshops
Saturday & Sunday, September 30th & October 1st,

Aly Diabate will be in Boston next weekend (September 30th)
and will have two nice, long dundun workshops,
chock full of the best of the best,..Guinea Dundun!
Together with Moussa Traore's djembe classes,
plan for a fun day on this weekend (September 30th and October 1st).

The classes/workshops will be at Davis Sq. Somerville, next to the Diesel cafe.
If we have more than 12 people we will most likely move it somewhere else
