2) Moussa Traore Djembe Stolen
Last Wednesday (Nov 24), Moussa Traore's Djembe was stolen from his car while he was at the Super 88 in Allston. It's a beautiful looking & sounding drum - tan wood with a cow skin, red rope and a rubber pad on the bottom. If you see this out and about, at a music store, a pawn shop, or anywhere else, please let Moussa know - moussatraore@hotmail.com or check http://moussamalidjembe.com/
Thank you.
Hi my name is James, and I run a West African music community called djembefola.com.
ReplyDeleteI am contacting you because we have just launched our "Djembefola themed" calendar.
This is a 24 page calendar with 12 stunning African drum and dance photographs and 12 hand drawn calendar pages.
30% of the profits will go to Les Voies du Monde for the arts center they are hoping to build in Burkina Faso. See here for more information - http://www.lesvoiesdumonde.com/humanitaire_centre_art_etude.php.
The rest of any money will go to developing djembefola.com and creating to create great content, and promote Mande music, dance and culture.
How you can help:
1) Tell all your friends, and forwarding this email to anyone you think might be interested.
2) Buying a calendar for yourself or a friend.
You can find more information and a here - http://djembefola.com/shop/african-calendar.php
Any help you can give will be hugely appreciated :)
