[Wadabo_updates] PROVIDENCE: THANKSGIVING SAMBA AND SEYDOU/ISSA'S CLASSES

Hi Providence folks,

Seydou and Isssa will not be holding class this coming Sunday. Classes will resume Sunday, December 7 (the Sunday after Thanksgiving weekend).

But luckily for us, we have a Samba teacher in town! Details below.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Jori

This week only!

Two Brazilian Samba classes in Providence.

May-Li Khoe will be teaching:

Wednesday Nov 5:30p-7:00p
(take a break from Thanksgiving preparations)
and
Saturday Nov 9:30a-11:00a
(work off that Thanksgiving dinner)

80 Dexter Street, Providence

May-Li Khoe has danced for as long as she can remember – in the last twenty-five years she has performed a wide variety of forms, including
Colombian, Hula, Tahitian, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and contemporary Indian dance. May-Li has danced Brazilian samba for over five years, and has performed at a wide variety of events both in Seattle and San Francisco. She currently performs and substitute teaches for Energia Do Samba with Maisa Duke in San Francisco, the home of this nation's oldest Carnaval Parade. Energia Do Samba focuses on Bahia-style samba, which emphasizes unbounded joy and playfulness. In this class, May-Li will go over the basics of samba and samba reggae, and then take you through a full-fledged shakin' routine!
